Staff at Sunderland-based outsourced contact centre 2Touch have raised £1,227 for local charity, St. Benedict’s Hospice.

Colleagues enjoyed a range of mouth-watering treats, including Victoria sponge cake, chocolate muffins and home-baked fruit scones as they took part in a cake sale, raffle and dress-down day, with all proceeds going to the company’s designated charity of the year.

Lynn Kane, facilities office services manager at 2Touch, has worked tirelessly over the years to support a range of charities. This year she has put all her efforts into championing Sunderland-based St Benedict’s Hospice.

Lynn said: “I am overwhelmed by everyone’s generosity. I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who took the time out of their busy lives to bake and to those who put their hand in their pockets and generously donated to the cause.

Sylvia Stoneham, St Benedict’s Hospice fundraiser, said: “We rely on the support of local individuals and businesses to ensure our patients receive the very best care. In these tough economic times, it’s wonderful that the people at 2Touch have generously taken us to their hearts. I would like to thank them for their kindness and continued support.”
