4th April 2012

Novacroft held a star-studded awards night to recognise its ‘extraordinary’ team members and to celebrate the success of a very challenging, but rewarding 2011.
Everyone donned their red carpet outfits for the awards celebration, and ‘The Rat Pack is Back Again’ were in attendance to ensure the night benefited from the best in entertainment.
Novacroft has been running an internal initiative called ‘Operation Springboard’ since July 2011, aimed at improving operational performance in the current volatile economic climate. Operation Springboard sought to use teamwork to drive operational excellence and key performance targets across the business, giving team members individual objectives and allowing transparent access to wider business objectives. Operation Springboard culminated in the recognition of the most deserving team members and the crowning of Novacroft’s SuperHero for 2011 – who won a fantastic trip to New York!
Team members were asked to nominate their most deserving colleagues in six peer-nominated awards categories: Best Improvement Idea; Innovation; Best Display of Energy, Will and Determination; Collaboration; Extraordinary Performance; Customer Service. These awards were assessed by Novacroft’s senior management team, who also had the difficult task of finding Novacroft’s SuperHero for 2011.
After much deliberation, the SuperHero 2011 award went to Tracey Barnes, a Contact Centre Team Leader at Novacroft. Tracey is pictured above, receiving her award from Debra Charles, Novacroft’s Managing Director.
Nominated for three different awards categories for peer nominations, Tracey received 5 nominations for an award in total, and is a worthy winner of a trip to New York! Colleagues nominating Tracey described her as “a real team player…” who “liaises across teams” and “goes above and beyond and is a crucial asset to Novacroft”. It was said that “her presence lifts morale” and “she always has a smile on her face, which makes you smile too.” The senior management team felt that Tracey had demonstrated collaboration by working across teams to support performance, and recognised her support to teams as a coach and mentor, always giving 100% and adopting a calm approach to issues and unexpected events.
