Ultra Communications appoints James King as Business Development Director

James King will also be responsible for driving awareness of the benefits of cloud contact centre services, while working with the company’s Project, Support and Marketing teams to ensure new clients are up and running speedily and effectively.

“We are delighted to announce James’ appointment as part of our continued expansion,” said Darren Sullivan, Chief Operating Officer, Ultra Communications. “His vast experience in the contact centre field will be invaluable to the Sales and Business Development team as we look to fully capitalise on the growing demand for cloud services.”

King has more than 20 years’ experience in building software businesses and creating and implementing successful business development strategies. He joins Ultra from NICE Systems, where he held the roles of UK Sales Director for Cybertech products and UK Partner Sales Director. During his employment with Nice Systems, King was responsible for developing existing accounts, leading new business development within the UK, and managing partner relations. Prior to these roles, he held senior sales roles with Activa Solutions and ASC.

ASC have announced a few changes to their Board.

Guenther Mueller, who built up and shaped the ASC group for more than 33 years, resigned from its Executive Board as of June 30, 2012. As Chairman of the Supervisory Board, he will continue in an advisory role.

Since July 1, 2012, ASC has been managed by two Executive Board members with equal rights: Dr Frank Schaffrath, the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and Marco Mueller, son of Guenther Mueller, and new Chief Operating Officer (COO).


Board changes at Prolog

Robert Audley, the Chairman of Promotional Logistics Ltd (Prolog),  will relinquish the role of Chief Executive and will revert to that of Executive Chairman.

Also from that date there will be two Joint Managing Directors reporting to Robert. Prolog’s Chief Operating Officer, Darshana Bawa, will be promoted to be one, together with Guy Smith. Guy rejoins the company after 8 years away during which time he has managed one or two of our competitors, most recently at Diss Promotional Services.

After 16 years with the company, Ian Dignum has decided to leave Prolog at the end of 2012. Ian joined Prolog in 1996 and was appointed to the Board in 2004. Robert Audley commented: “Ian is one of the most likeable people that I have worked with and he has made a huge contribution to Prolog during his time with us. On a personal and professional level, he will be greatly missed.”


Data8 welcomes head for New Business Generation

Debbie Sweeney has joined Data8 as Head of New Business Generation. Sweeney will be responsible for the development of the New Business Data team and for driving revenue in a new area for the company of lead generation and new business generation.

Antony Allen, managing director Data8, commented: “I am delighted to welcome Debbie on board to lead our ambitious expansion plans for New Business Data and New Business Generation. Debbie brings with her over 17 years of senior sales experience at a corporate level with Yellow Pages and GB Group”.

Sweeney added, “I am thrilled to be part of the Data8 team. My career to date has been spent in the technology industry and I look forward to using my experience to reach and exceed our targets. Between Antony and myself, we have a clear focus on where the division should be and I will be providing the focus to customer relationships, sales development and business growth.”
