The National Planning Awards 2015 will celebrate planning excellence and recognise individuals and teams for the first time.

The long-awaited awards – now open to entrants – represent a major step in the growth of planning as a professional community in the customer contact world.

They also offer the opportunity to gain external recognition for the hard work and success achieved by both individuals and planning team(s).

The standard of the Awards will be sustained by rigorous assessment, which involves members, finalists and experts.

Awards are offered for both individuals and teams, with 8 main categories and other awards such as ‘best in sector’. This makes it distinct from the Forum’s flagship Innovation Awards programme.

Three individual categories:

  • Planning Analyst of the Year
  • Planning Manager of the Year
  • Rising Star Award

Five team awards:

  • Real-time management
  • Scheduling
  • Forecasting
  • Back Office Planning
  • Overall Planning Team

Shortlisted nominations will present at the Finalists’ Day on 21st May, in the Midlands, which offers insight from networking and peer review.

Winners will be announced at the Gala Awards Dinner on Thursday 2nd July 2015 in Manchester.

They or their managers and colleagues will share their story at the National Planning Conference to be held later in the year, on 8th October 2015.

“We are delighted to announce these new awards to recognise and celebrate how far the planning community has come,” said Paul Smedley, Chair and Founder of The Forum. “Uniquely, this programme includes an element of peer assessment, the chance to hear other finalists at the Finalists’ Day, as well as the opportunity to hear and see presentations from all the award winners at the National Planning Conference on October 8th.”

The deadline for nominations is 31st March.
