Plantronics has been formally recognised for developing innovative applications and capabilities.

The headset provider has been named a 2014 Avaya DevConnect Partner Innovation award recipient for headset integration with Avaya Aura. This award recognises the development of innovative applications and capabilities that enable new opportunities for customers.

The solution has demonstrated the transfer of audio- and video-based collaboration sessions between mobile and desktop environments.

When a user comes in close proximity to a desktop with the Aura Collaboration Environment, they will have the option to switch from a voice-only experience to a collaboration experience featuring video and file sharing.

As a DevConnect Technology Partner, Plantronics has worked in conjunction with Avaya to develop technological integration, empowering collaboration and contact centre excellence.

“As the work environment has become centred around what we do rather than where we are, it is important that our technology enables that,” said Erna Arnesen, Vice President of Global Channel and Alliance Marketing at Plantronics. “With the help of Avaya, we developed an innovative solution that allows people to continue collaborating seamlessly as they move between desktops and mobile phones.”
