Nev Wilshire from BBC TV’s “The Call Centre” has released a book.

Business books don’t usually conjure up images of fun and laughter. But that’s all been changed by Neville Wilshire, boss of Swansea’s “The Call Centre”.

Join Nev as he shares his wisdom on every aspect of empire building, from starting a business and creating team spirit, through to coping with the tough times and following your dreams.

But don’t expect the usual management speak. Nev regularly employs sausage rolls as missiles, arm-wrestles staff, conducts compulsory sing-a-longs and cuts to the chase with no-nonsense commandments such as ‘proper planning prevents piss poor performance’ and ‘smile as you dial’.

The book also includes case studies featuring popular call centre staff (such as Tea Lady Hayley) and amusing notes from HR strictly condemning Nev’s practice of standing on his desk during interviews, as well as an array of photographs.

Love him or loathe him, Nev started his business with nothing and has now achieved a £50 million turnover. Save Britain Money also came second on the Sunday Times list of The Best Companies To Work For in the UK.

There must be some method in his madness!

Happy People Sell: My Philosophies for Success by Nev Wilshire is available now on Amazon.
