There has been a bustling start to the New Year with many industry appointments at companies including Fusion, Journeycall, Data8, the National Outsourcing Association, Novacroft and bss.
Fusion Peterborough appoints new Contact Centre Manager
Kate Lampett joins Fusion from the Royal Bank of Scotland where she held various roles over eight years; most recently as Contact Centre Manager for Churchill Insurance.

This latest management appointment follows early 2012 growth for the Bretton-based contact centre, which handles insurance enquiries for some of the UK’s leading financial services brands. More than 200 new roles have been filled in the last 12 months and, as part of her remit, Kate will help support this new group and ensure employees are delivering the best possible customer service across multiple brands.

Angela joins Journeycall management team

North East Scotland contact centre operator, Journeycall, has appointed Angela Birchall as Support Services Manager, based at its Laurencekirk headquarters.
Trisha Pirie, Journeycall Managing Director, said: “I’m particularly pleased to promote Angela to this key role, as she has risen quickly through the Journeycall company ranks, since joining us in 2009. Angela has an excellent understanding of the importance in ensuring that our fulfillment services are of the highest quality to continue our excellent reputation in the UK travel industry.”
Commenting on her new role, Ms Birchall said: “I very much welcome this opportunity to manage a highly motivated Support Services team, at a very exciting time for Journeycall as we look to expand, despite the economic downturn. We have developed our expertise in web based electronic support and fulfillment services, as they grow in importance, in addition to the fast response work we do for phone and postal customer communications.”
Data8 Ltd appoints a new account manager

Richard Davies has joined the premier data enrichment specialist, data8, as account manger to assist in their expansion plans for their data cleansing service.
Antony Allen, managing director data8, said “Richard brings with him client facing experience and great enthusiasm, having worked with a number of blue chip companies including Disney, he will help us meet our ambitious growth targets for 2012”.
Davies added, “I am very excited about the plans data8 have put into place, and I am looking forward to working closely with the team, building the existing client base and developing new clients for our data cleansing service”.
National Outsourcing Association Welcomes New Board members

The National Outsourcing Association (NOA) welcomes three new board members. Debra Maxwell (Arvato), Lauren Tennant (National Trust) and Paul Robb (independent consultant) all took office as board members of the UK trade body that promotes successful outsourcing for the benefit of end-users and alike.
NOA Chairman Martyn Hart said: “We are delighted to welcome fresh blood onto the NOA board. All the new members have a wealth of valuable experience, with the potential to make a huge impact in spreading best practice in their respective areas. ”
Novacroft appoints Jo Phelps as HR Manager

Jo joined Novacroft with a wealth of HR Management experience. Jo’s most recent position was Head of HR with Wells and Young’s Brewing Company. As a member of the company’s executive board, she was responsible for the implementation of HR strategy throughout the business. Jo also gained significant experience with Britvic Soft Drinks where she had responsibility for all HR activities across various UK sites.
In her capacity as HR Manager at Novacroft, Jo will be joining Debra Charles, Janet Taylor and David Messiter on the Senior Management Team and will lead the HR and Training function to ensure that Novacroft’s HR strategy, policies and activities support the business and its future growth.
bss Appoints Jo Croft as Finance Director

Jo, a chartered accountant, brings with her over 18 years of commercial and finance experience.
