npower is recruiting for 200 new positions in the North East by the end of March 2012.

npower is looking to employ Customer Service Advisors (CSA) and Team Managers (TM) in various locations across the North East: Peterlee, Houghton le Spring and Thornaby.

Paul Robinson, head of npower’s contact centres, commented: “We have noticed a significant increase in demand from our customers which is why we are growing our contact centres. These jobs are designed to bolster our team and ensure we can deliver the very best service to customers. We hope to attract a wide variety of applicants from across the region. This is also great news for the North East with the creation of 200 new jobs at a time when a number of organisations are reducing the size of their workforces.”

CSAs are required to deliver the best possible service to customers. npower is looking for people with customer service experience who are helpful and full of personality. TMs will be responsible for leading and motivating their team of CSAs.  Their role will be to ensure business objectives are met through coaching and developing their team.  Management and customer service experience is essential, as are strong leadership skills.

npower provides comprehensive training to bring out the very best in its employees. A mixture of full- and part-time positions are being advertised with a variety of shifts available.

The npower open event took place on Saturday 18 February at Durham County Cricket Club, Emirates International Cricket Ground, Riverside, Chester-le-Street, County Durham, DH3 3QR.
