In a customer experience industry dominated by automation, burnout, and the same conversations on repeat, Women in CX (WiCX) are doing something radically different.
Today, the world’s first online community for women in customer experience and technology announces its 2025 UnConference series, with two intimate, in-person events in Berlin (23–24 September) and Miami (18–19 November), sponsored by Foundever.
The 2025 theme, “Moving Beyond,” is a rallying cry for women to challenge outdated CX models and reimagine the future of the industry, one that’s more inclusive, impactful, human-centred, and led by women.
“The CX industry is at a crossroads,” said Clare Muscutt, Founder and CEO of Women in CX. “As AI, automation, and broken corporate systems evolve faster than ever, we need to stop maintaining the status quo and start designing something better.
‘Moving Beyond’ is about stepping into that space, and women are best placed to lead the change with empathy, innovation, and real-world collaboration.”
Each UnConference is a 24-hour immersive experience designed to create meaningful impact, not just another day of passive listening.
“This isn’t just another conference, it’s an experience built for women, by women,” said Meg Coates, Head of Operations at Women in CX.
“Every detail of the agenda reflects what our members told us they need, time to travel, space to contribute, and moments to connect. We’ve designed this so that more women can show up fully, be heard, and leave inspired to lead real change.”
WiCX was the first to bring the UnConference format to the CX industry, and in 2025, it’s back – bigger and bolder than ever.
Rather than watching from the sidelines, attendees shape the conversation using Open Space Technology – a participant-led format where women propose the topics they want to explore.
Grounded in the Law of Two Feet, participants move freely between conversations to find the sessions where they can contribute the most or learn the most.
They then break out into small, self-organised groups to dive deeper into subtopics and co-create practical solutions to the challenges raised.
The outputs of these honest, real-world conversations are captured in the WiCX UnConference 2025 Playbook – a collaborative publication documenting the most pressing issues, boldest ideas, and collective actions shared by the community.
“Going global with the UnConference is a defining moment for our community,” Muscutt added. “It proves what’s possible when women come together to build something different.
With Foundever’s support, we’re scaling impact — while staying true to what makes this experience powerful: real voices, real leadership, and a community that’s ready to shape what comes next in CX.”
The UnConference 2025 theme challenges the industry to rethink and reframe its priorities, leaving behind:
