Contact centre staff run Brighton Marathon

Brighton-based contact centre, Spokenfor Ltd, joined the 18,000 runners in this year’s Brighton Marathon and raised money for its 2012 charity of choice, Chestnut Tree House.

Attracting sponsorship from local businesses, family and friends, Spokenfor’s System Development Manager, Nick Lorman-Hall, raised over £400 for his efforts.

Spokenfor employs 200 people from Brighton and the surrounding area and has this year alone donated £2,000 to Chestnut Tree House.   The money raised has been a team effort and relies on the enthusiasm and dedication of the contact centre staff to come up with new and inventive ideas to drive donations.

Gavin Miller, Managing Director of Spokenfor says:

“We are always looking for different ways in which the Spokenfor team can raise money for our chosen charity, Chestnut Tree House, and the Brighton Marathon seemed an obvious choice.  Originally we had a number of staff running in the event but unfortunately injuries took their toll and in the end our Systems Development Manager Nick ran solo.   He completed the event in an impressive 3 hours and 55 minutes and raised a respectable £400 to help this wonderful charity.  We are all very proud of his commitment to Chestnut Tree House.”

System Development Manager at Spokenfor, Nick Lorman-Hall also said:

“I’ve been running for a while now and really enjoy entering as many events as I can, but it makes it all the more worthwhile when I’m running for a cause.  I’ve read a lot about Chestnut Tree House and as a dad of two I can only imagine how hard it would be to cope in the situation that the parents whose children are cared for by Chestnut Tree House find themselves in.  I had no hesitation in running for this worthy and local charity.”
