Fusion has donated thousands of pounds to fund a life-changing café for young city families.

The founders of Coffee Tots have been presented with more than £9,500 from Fusion’s community fund. The money will help launch a new workshop space at the café, enabling even more people to access parenting skills and forge new friendships.

The Coffee Tots café operates solely on charitable donations and offers an affordable menu of Fair Trade drinks and meals, much-loved by families on low incomes. Fusion’s donation will help the Coffee Tots team transform the first floor into a dedicated training venue, where it can hold monthly courses in computing, cookery and budgeting.

“The donation from Fusion Coventry means more parents and carers can learn in a family-friendly environment,” said Catherine Bartlem, Co-Manager of Coffee Tots. “The new space will be versatile enough to host everything from swishing parties for children’s clothes, to advice sessions from partner organisations on issues including health and infant feeding support.”

“We are delighted to help the project develop its programme of training and skills courses,” said Vivienne Skeffington, Contact Centre Manager for Fusion Coventry.
