The Professional Planning Forum will be launching their full degree programme for the contact centre industry at the Customer Strategy and Planning 2013, on Monday 29th April.

Created in partnership with the University of Ulster and through consultation with an industry steering group, the programme allows students to study a range of programmes from a single standalone module, leading to a certificate, diploma or full BSc Honours degree.

The formal degree is delivered through an online teaching environment consisting of webinars and calls, directed reading, exercises and discussion forums. In addition, the face-to-face workshops that are a feature of the Planning Forum training will be made available to students.

The Planning Forum has been delivering training and qualifications for the customer contact industry for over 10 years. “This is the first undergraduate degree programme for this industry in the world. It is a fantastic opportunity for planners, analysts and managers to gain recognized and transferable qualifications. We are delighted to be working with the University of Ulster to offer this industry first”, explained Steve Woosey, CEO of the Professional Planning Forum.

Professor Jackie McCoy, Head of Department, Marketing Entrepreneurship and Strategy, and Director of the Business Institute at The Ulster Business School, added, “As part of a recent review of provision, the specialist skills of the Professional Planning Forum have been identified as key to the continuing development and expansion of this industry-specific award, and the ongoing development of higher education pathways for the contact centre industry.”
