Zoom has announced AI Companion 3.0, the latest update to its agentic AI offering.

This introduces new capabilities focused on personal workflows, document creation, and contextual task management across the Zoom platform.

The update includes a new web-based interface and expanded agentic features designed to help users retrieve information from meetings, documents, and connected tools, with AI Companion built on Zoom’s federated AI approach combining its own language models with third-party and open-source models.

“The launch of AI Companion 3.0 is a turning point for Zoom, continuing our transformation from a meeting company into a pioneer of AI-first intelligent work orchestration,” said Velchamy Sankarlingam, president of Product and Engineering at Zoom.

Zoom said the release also reinforces its ongoing focus on security, privacy, and responsible AI, noting that customer communications content is not used to train its AI models.

AI Companion 3.0 is available via a new web interface, with selected features accessible to both paid and basic Zoom users.
