8×8 has recently announced a partnership with Descope. This collaboration integrates Descope’s drag-and-drop customer identity and access management (CIAM) platform with 8×8’s CPaaS APIs, allowing organizations to create customizable user journeys through intuitive visual workflows.

Stephen Hamill, General Manager, CPaaS at 8×8, said,Our partnership with Descope provides organisations with a secure, frictionless, highly usable experience that enhances efficiency and supports business growth, unlocking the potential of every interaction.

The integration enables modern authentication methods like social logins, passkeys, one-time passwords (OTPs), and magic links, improving both security and user experience compared to traditional passwords.

Organisations using Descope have seen a 50% reduction in authentication-related support tickets and significant cost savings by avoiding in-house authentication system development.

8×8’s CPaaS APIs support essential business functions such as authentication, fraud prevention, marketing, and customer support via omnichannel messaging (SMS, voice, video, and messaging apps).

Combined with the 8×8 Platform for CX, which integrates contact centre and unified communications, these capabilities streamline global communication and deliver AI-driven insights to enhance customer experience and business performance.

Rishi Bhargava, Co-founder and Chief Revenue Officer at Descope, said,8×8’s commitment to customer experience and customer excellence is one of the key reasons we wanted to partner with them.

For us, this is a strategic move that allows us to combine authentication and authorization with customer engagement, providing businesses with seamless and secure experiences. We are excited to work together with 8×8 in APAC, where businesses are ready to take customer experience to the next level.”
